500/1000pts Dwarf Army List vs. Vampire Counts (?)

First night back at the Duellists Club tonight for 2009, have a small match (or two) organised against Richard's Vampire Counts. Only 500pts or maybe 1000pts if his Vampire Count mate joins in and makes it 2v1 me against them. Basic list will be:

TOTAL = 495 pts

Runesmith gives me an extra Dispel Dice to counter the Invocation of Nehek, and the Gyrocopter means I can prevent his guys from marching and get more shooting in. Thunderers would be better at S4 AP and +1 to hit but cost to much, and I like the versatility of Quarrellers with GW for Close Combat. Did think about the Organ Gun instead of the Gyrocopter but rejected it as at 500pts he wont have any extra tough units to worry about. Only weakness here is no magical weapons capable of hurting his Etheral units, but still the Gyrocopter can prevent them from marching long enough for me to decimate the rest of his army. Not too worried about Fear causing Undead as with Leadership 9/10 I expect to pass most if not all of my tests.

If we go to 1000pts (in a 2 VC vs. 1 Dwarf army scenario) then I can go with a little more versatility in terms of combat power. At 1000pts any VC army is bound to have a unit of Grave Guard, and possibly Dire Wolves and maybe a small unit of Black Knights. 1000pt list will be:

Quarrellers lose their Great Weapons as the Hammerers now act as the Close Combat unit. Shields & HW give them enough hitting power vs. the weaker undead units and reasonable protection with a 4+ AS in HtH combat. Hammerers Banner of Courage makes them immune to fear and terror meaning they won't run or suffer from the 6+ to hit penalty. The Troll Slayers give me an unbreakable unit to hold up part of the Undeads main battle line. The Gryocopter will be used the same way as in the 500pt game. The Cannon has the usual RO Forging & Engineer, but also has the RO Burning to add a magical attack that cancels out any Regeneration Saves. This means I can use it against any Vampires with the Von Carstein Ring and against Etheral Units. The HW w. RO Fire equipped Runesmith also adds a magical attack into the centre of the Hammerers Unit (their banner making him immune to Fear & Terror as well) meaning they can also deal with the Vampire Heroes and Etheral creatures.

Either way I am looking forward to this, will give me some ideas for my VC army once I get it started.
